20 years have gone by since Mike Fleck moved from Oklahoma back to his home town in West Texas to set up a one-man jeweler's bench inside his uncle's (Don Haynes) drug store in Midland, Texas. This was the beginning of what was to become Occasions Fine Jewelry Cathy Fleck, Mike's wife, was a fine arts teacher until the growth of Mike's jewelry business allowed her to quit her teaching career and become Mike's 1st full-time employee. Together they brought to fruition the dream of what a jewelry store should be - quality jewelry for every occasion and budget coupled with an easygoing atmosphere.
